Yes, I did. But this webpage isn't about why biseptimal is amazing, it's just because I like designing numbering systems. I also like biseptimal aesthetically, being 2 * 7. To be honest, if decimal weren't the standard and therefore boring, I'd probably like it a lot. It's quirky and a little impractical, yet also pretty good. Anyway, we don't live in the seximal universe, so biseptimal will fill a similar niche. I'm just drawn to it. Don't at me.

Symbols

The standard math thing to do is use ABCD for ten through thirteen. I don't like this for two reasons. First is that A feels odd, being 1, and yet it means an even number? This confuses me so hard that I still haven't passively learned bioctal A-F. I know A, B, and F, but the rest take manual effort. I could probably learn it in a day if I got around to it, so that's why I said "passively". Still. Not a fan of the inverse parity.

Second thing is that, well, they're just kind of ugly. They don't fit in with the arabic numberals. In fairness, nothing really does, but still A-F aren't great.

These symbols don't fix the second issue, and they only kind of fix the first issue by ignoring it. (There's no correlation between position in alphabet and value). This is a concession to make it typable.

Aren't heptagons pretty? I love em. Not as much as pentagons, but yk, they're pretty. Anyway, the symbols are based off of the elements. The tenth element is Neon, so N. The twelfth element is maGnesium, so G. I didn't use M because it's 4 strokes and too similar to N. L is for aLuminum. This is a great cheat code to naming numbers.

Spoken System

One through nine keep their names. Ten is called ne (after neon), eleven is called sodi, twelve is called mag, and thirteen is called lumin. Then 10 is called "hep", after the greek word for seven.

Then 11-1L get their own names, too. Monhen, dohen, trihen, quadhen, quinhen, sexhen, septhen, octohen, nonahen, nehen, sodihen, maghen, lumhen. Then 20 is called tweppy, which is very fun to say.

The multiples of 10 get names. Treppy, quadeppy, quineppy, sexeppy, septeppy, octeppy, noneppy, neppy, sodieppy, mageppy, lumeppy.
